Gentlemen
I am wanting to install an inline Rat Roaster on my original Hemicuda.Couple questions--- Is this manifold able to perform properly (mostly street use) with a progressive linkage, or should the carbs be hooked one to one because of the plenum size???.

Daryl; Don't know the answer but you are going to put a blowoff valve somewhere on that intake aren't you? Dave

The open plenum works better without the progressive linkage.IT can be run with the progressive linkage but fuel distribution will be terriable.Blow off or Sneezer valves would be highly recommended. It takes a lot of modification to get good performance from those manifolds. For street use I would suggest a custom top plate to decrease the volume.

I hadn't thought of putting a sneeze valve on it,but considering how many of these things you see that are cracked, looks like it'll go on the
"TO DO" list forsure. Thanx for the suggestion guys!!!!!.
Any suggestions on who makes a decent reliable one,or??? maybe just building one might be the ticket.
If I were to install a flat top plate, will that reduce the volume enough to run progressive,or am I expecting too much??The fuel distribution will still be poor?? I would really like to run progressive on this car, because,I live in the country, & the car sees lots of highway, & city miles,so fuel economy is a factor.

The nicest valves are made by Wilson's $140 for two.You can made them also.We have run them with progressive linkage on flat lids and they seemed to work better and are more responsive at low and mid range rpms.
