I have a 300m with the 3.5, it has a hard starting
problem, turning over 7 to 8 times before starting and when you try to accelerate hard it bucks and does not accelerate, I've changed the cam sensor and crank sensor and it still bucks during hard ecceleration. I did notice when I changed the cam sensor, on the end of it was a build up of metal filings, like the reluctor has came apart. Is there a reluctor for the cam sensor and could it be causing this problem ?
What else have you seen that causes this problem.
I've been told the cam sensor is only needed for starting only ? Thanks for the help.

Hi,
first thing to check is fuel pressure, does it bleed down after shutting off causing long crank time?, also have to check it when the car is bucking while driving it might be too low causing the problem.
