It's not a measurement but maybe this will help. This is a virgin metal CA car that I bought to save my smashed hemi car. I didn't have the heart to cut it up so I sold it.

Here ya go.
Start with the centerline of the recess. Then measure up 3/4" for the centerline of the emblems.
The 19 9/16 Measurement is INCORRECT! It should be 13 9/16

That is actually some great inf there. I am going to be putting my Dust Trail and RR emblem on soon and that will come in handy.

Thanks,
Bob

That is the coolest diagram I've ever seen! For years I have been trying to tell people that the script is not centered in the scoop and the dust trail bottoms out with the center-line as show in your original example. Hey Bob, don't forget to put the dust trails on with the X's on the bottom of all 3 sections.

Hey Paul,

Thanks for reminding me, I actually forgot that little tidbit of info.

Good luck with those old stripes! Usually the paper backing doesn't come off after 40 years. I have NOS stripes for my 70 Charger R/T that I will use for reference only.

a soap and water solution will work for the stripe plus it makes it slippery if you have to slide it around, Then take a bondo applicator and wrap it with a soft cloth to push out the excess water and bubbles. Take your time and don't rush it. The guy that did my brothers stripe ruined it, full of bubbles. He put it on soon after the car was painted which will trap gasses in the paint and cause bubbles as well.
