Will a 1988 Lebaron 2.2 turbo auto trans work in a 1992 Labron with 2.5 auto ? thanks

Yes but it will not have a lock-up converter.

Not an issue was just going to use the 92 converter

Can't swap nonlockups for lockups. Splines are different, at least on RWD models

You can't put a lockup converter onto a non-lockup A413 trans. It won't work. Also the turbo transmissions do not have the mechanisim to even run the lock up. You will have to run the turbo transmission with the turbo torq converter. You will rpm a little higher on the highway, not much but a little. Also the turbos had a little higher stall speed if memory serves.

I don't know if the splines are any different on the fwd trans, so technically you might be able to do it, however it makes no sense to even try if you have the turbo converter on hand.
