I was at a buddy of mines this weekend and he had a set of inner axle oil seal for an 8 3/4 that were filled with silicone. It seems to me that this should make them more ridged. Has anyone seen this before?

never seen silicone before

but I pack them on the back side with greese to help keep the spring in place while I drive them in the tube

sleezacone should do the same thing most likly

if the bearing let the axle move, the weight of the car is gonna let it leak when it disstorts the seal any ways sleez or no sleez

Stupid spring came off the one I did last summer, I was very lucky and seen it come off before I slammed the axle in..

I pulled it out and smeared some heavy grease on it to hold it in place...
