I'm new to building engines, and one thing that I don't quite grasp yet is how to select the correct valve springs and retainers for your combo. What's the best way to do this? Spring pressures, installed heights, spring diameter, how do you pick the right ones? Thanks for the help!

Contact or use the springs specs. furnished from the cam company same thing on the retainers and keepers. I like to use the super seven or ten degree keepers and retainers on all of my race motors and my street and strip motors

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

You need advise from a competent engine builder.

Comp Cams still lists a 928 spring for some of their SB solid cams.
Although the spring pressures are suitable, a 1.550" diameter spring
won't clear the rocker shaft WITHOUT A ROCKER ARM ON IT!

Somebody really needs to address the roller sping selection for
OEM/Edelbrock heads. (1.46"-1.48")

I thought that's what drum grinders were for, Its always nice to tear up a new set of roller rockers
