What do you guys use for antennaes in your street rods? My 56 didn't come with an antennae, nor did it come with a hole in the body for an antennae, so I don't know what to do for one.

The car will be a daily driver, so I want a radio in it, but with all the new technology, I didn't know where to drill a hole, what size, or what type of antennae to use. Just want something figured out before I paint the car.

Thanks,

ways to do this so you dont have to drill a hole,,,you can buy a electric antenna,,it still plugs in to the radio as usuall,,,but has a square block that has a sticky pad and goes on the inside of the glass,,can be hiden behind a sun visor along the A pillar,,they seem to work fairly well, depening on the power of the stations you may listen to,, then you can take a standard wip type antenna from the auto parts store and mount it under the car along the frame, same thing again,, depending on the stations you listen to and there location,,mine is mounted to the frane rail under my running board and works fine,,,ive seen guys put wip type antennas in the trunk under the package tray,,or in pick ups behind the seat,,
