Any one out there have experiance with one of these? How is the build quality etc. What is the largest cam that could be swapped in place of the 509? Thanks,D.

Check with Gbob (Glenn) over in the race section, his Coronet's engine BEGAN life as a 500" crate IIRC (bought the car with the engine in it.) Or, ask (OU812) Brian. He went through Glenn's engine and finally brought it to life. Brian, could tell you exactly what the internals, and factory build quality was on the short block.

Glenn tried a few cams and had the heads worked on but the engine was under achiever till it was gone though. 11.50's to current 9.99 and still has more in it.
