Email me a reminder and I will try to remember to get some air cleaner photos this Christmas when I get to where the car is stored.
There's a '74 360 Duster in the classifieds that shows the air cleaner as well.

That car is amazing, It is also the only other 360 4 speed I have ever seen other than mine. Mopar Muscle article Mine is originally JA5 silver with a black stripe but the previous owner did all the body and paint then lost interest. When I bought it all the pieces of the car were in boxes in the trunk. I too have the short snorkel air cleaner.

I wonder if the short snorkel one might be correct, at least for some cars. I have pictures of a restored '74 'Cuda 360 and it has the short snorkel air cleaner. As well as a Challenger.

Good question. I do not have that piece of air cleaner knowledge for sure. But now that the question is out there, What is correct???? Anybody out there in Mopardome have some input??? Should a 1974 Road Runner have a long or short snorkel air cleaner? 1974s only have oval air intakes on the snorkel. That much we know.

Woah Yea! The car started, stopped and ran like a charm! We put a little over 40 miles on the o'l bird just before Christmas.
That is a great looking Road Runner. I love that color combo and the white stripe just sets it all off.
Wow that is a great looking job.

The poor old 73/74 era was almost totally forgot about. Even most of the Mopar people looked disinterested with them. But they are the last gasp of an era gone by. I am happy to see more of them popping up in ads and for sale. They are not easy to do and not a lot of NOS or reproduction parts are out there. But through a friend of mine we convinced an aftermarket mfg to reproduce the rear bumper filler strip and side pieces for 73 /74s. Look for that to be available soon!
I'll be looking!
I don't have a close-up of it, but it's shot!
