i know ive been askin a lot of questions on here but i want to do this right the first time......would i be better off just gettn a 440 bottom end and puttin my heads and intak on it instead off puttin the 383 in(has 440 heads)

NO , first off if you have a 383 intake it's NOT going to fit on a 440 .
A LOW DECK is going to give you more room to fit things like headers and such than the taller and wider 440 .
from all the questions you are asking the first time yo floor it with a 383 you are going to wet yourself anyway, a 440 might send you into cardiac arrest ...
 B engine will be a better fit than a RB. The heads for most years were the same between 383's and 440's. Do you know what casting # heads you have? If you are looking for more cubes I would find a 400 and do it with a 440 crank or a stroker crank kit to gain max cubes.  After all a 400 is a larger bore than a 440 and is a B block.

I dunno guys, that 383 with 440 heads sounds will make an awesome combo
