Does anyone have some pics? I've replaced my summer beater '74 Swinger with an '05 PT ragtop. It's a base model and I would like to have some chrome aftermarket wheels. I found a really good deal on some 19" ones but they seem really big compared to the stock wheels. I would like to go to a larger size but I'm thinking these may be too big. Any ideas or pics?
TIA,
Dallas

Stock PT's come with 16" with 17" as an option. I own a 2002 PT and I sincerely doubt you could fit an 18" rim on there, let alone a 19" rim/tire. The tire is going to rub on the strut with a 19" rim. Maybe if you run a super low profile tire that has a 1" tall sidewall you could squeeze a 18" rim, but I sincerely doubt it.

Maybe someone else can add to this. I would bet $100 that a 19" won't fit without massaging/altering something - almost positive.

Anything is possible though. There are a ton of goofballs that put Lamborhghini doors on PT Cruisers and load them up with chrome etc. and modify them to the max.

Those guys would be the ones to ask...

stumpy,
Thanks for the link to the site. I'll check it out.

Fastfrankie,
You mentioned some of my concerns there. The recommended tire was something like a 35 series. Probably wouldn't hold up too good on the rough roads we have around here, either.
Thanks for your input,
Dallas
