Dad just bought a leftover 09 Ram that has the radio with UConnect Bluetooth buttons, but when you push them it says it's not enabled/installed. It wasn't on the window sticker so we're not concerned about getting ripped off, just, we'd like to be able to use it. Is this a matter of paying for a code to enable the bluetooth? Are there components (like a microphone or something) missing that we'll need to get bluetooth through the radio going? Do we need to swap out the entire headunit? Any help would be appreciated TIA

if it is not equipped with Uconnect it will not work, it is a separate unit from the radio

You can buy a Mopar accessory kit to get the feature.
I have UConnect in my 08 Magnum. It is up there with remote door locks as an option I no longer could do without.
