I remember seeing something similar on an AMC of similar vintage. Difference was it had the more common internal retention clips - opposed to the 4 clips that grab the outer rim on the 1969 only mopar road wheels.

If theres a currently avail ring that at least appears close , I'm not aware of it.

If you find a good source for correct ones, please let me know. They are very hard to find.

#1 is what you want. #2 is what you will find. They have the raised internal lip too and look 'correct' but are wrong on the back side.

Seeking:

1969 St. Louis plant VINs, SPD, and VONs.
Over 2,000 thanks to you!

This might sound crazy but try looking at a set off a 1967 Corvette. They are a one year only ring for the Corvette but they are as close as I have ever seen to the Mopar set. They came in 14" and 15". The 15" are very $$$. Yes, I bought a set off ebay (14") and they are very close. Take a look on Ebay for an original set - not a repro set. They also mount the same way with the four retaining clips on the outer lip of the wheel. Rob

Here is a set on Ebay right now:

And another:

Problem is ALL Corvettes and Z/28s are 15"

The 1967 14x6" Chevy Ralley was Camaro, Chevelle, & Nova (some Impala?) and may appear similar - they did use the steel retaining clips.

OK, you're probably right. I am almost positive the ebay ad said 1967 Corvette only and they were 14", but I'm probably wrong. At any rate, the ones that I bought might be from a 1967 Camaro? they are 14" though and definitely GM. Maybe do an ebay search for 1967 GM trim ring? It can't hurt. Rob

OK, after doing a little searching on Google, I found what I bought. They are the 1967 Camaro trim rings and they are exactly what is in the link below. They also attach by the outer rim edge. Check them out. They look very close in person to the Mopar style. Rob
http://www.rickscamaros.com/product.asp?dept_id=3563&pf_id=TR-6

**OK after looking at them again in the above link, they don't attach at the outer lip, but they look very close on the outside. What the heck did I buy then?? I wonder if a GM guy was selling a set of Mopar trim rings and didn't realize it and listed them as Gm? I'll have to dig them out and take a photo. One thing is for sure, they do not look like the more common GM trim rings. Also, the guy did say in his ebay ad that they were 1967 GM first style trim rings before the design to the more common rings that look nothing like a Mopar.

***Ok, this is the exact trim ring I bought a set of:
http://www.dantiques2.com/vpasp/shopexd.asp?ccode=46395

They are listed as GM 14"??

...Check out JC Whitney...I got mine there aprox 18 years ago and they look mint. There was 2 styles, chrome and S/S, almost a brushed/polished finish. I was always gonna get a second set, but never did....check it out.....

I'm lost in the 60's and DAMN proud of it.

I sell trim rings like the ones you saw on e-bay. They are a stainless ring , good all around 14 inch ring that will fit a steel , ralley or road wheel.

My price is less than his , PM me for that price.
