The second qualifier was interesting. it somehow was hotter than the first round, how it could get hotter we have no idea!! Everybody spun except for Bales, with a 9.05 or so.
I think we were the only improvement with a stunning 9.78.
I think the ladder would be CWJ Perkins David Wolkwitz Bales Pancake Campbell CWS (I think he went a 9.90...) Buntin
DOn't quote me on this, we are supposed to have a final qualifier in the am, then start elims around 1:30.
I'm not exactly sure about the sppeds, Julie, but I think CWJ went 155 and change, Perkins was 154, David was 153, and Wolkwitz was 154
Campbell is the unfortunate casualty, but they will get it fixed, and look out for that now 4 speed car once they get the bullet fixed! 4 years out from racing a 4 speed car and he had a .050 light first round!!!!:)
Good night all, and stay cool!

Nice job in the heat Charlie. May need to use the chute if we get a shot at that "Dutch air". Thanks to the eight others that braved the heat and raced. Wish I could have been there.
PS Way to go David making the finals in Tyler's car. Looked like it ran consistent.

Man, just got shocking news that Paul Wilson has passed away. Genuinerocker was his post. He was an instant good friend when we met and will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Maybe we could do a little benefit at Indy. Stephen

just logged in to report the same thing. He was up here last friday with his girlfriend to do an article. They were in Mi for a Scorpions concert. We had a good time talking. Glad I got to see him again. He has been fighting cancer for 4 or 5 years, and he was visibly weak from the chemo. He was a generally upbeat guy, and he even mentioned that he could do nothing but think positively.
