Did all the heads come with offset push rod holes and rocker arm assemblies or did some come through with the stock push rod holes , using the stock rocker arm assemblies? Thanks

As far as I know all T/A motors were made with
off set ductile rocker arms assemblies and heads
with off set push rod holes. You must have came
across the other 915 small block head casting
with out off set push rod holes ?

Also... the same casting was used on '71 and later with standard machining (no offset).

yes, they ALL had offset rockers. unfortunately, they carry the 915 part number used on 360 heads so people try to pan off stock 360 heads for 340 TA heads. A guy on EBAY was doing this and I sent him pics to show the difference. the result was that he kept selling them as 340 TA heads but noted "these heads do not have offest pushrod holes"

What abut the U casting beside the spark plugs,
does the U casting mean TA heads?

I have a set of non-T/A 915's they have the U cast in so obviously you can't use that... Look at the pushrod hole location only....

There are small valve 915's, large valve 915's & T/A 915's....

pushrod location is the only distinguishing feature
