I am putting together a 360 magnum for a 71 dart, bought a used oil pan that is supposedly for a 360 LA mid sump, as i went to install it, i notice both ends are the same size (larger size) that hold the overlapping gasket with the 2 dimples that you pull through, both ends have it this way, whats up with this, i'm lost? Obviously it doesn't fit the magnum, & yes i'm useing the LA oil pan gasket kit.

pictures?
I had a feeling some would want pics, i'll take one later. But i would think it would be a simple question for any mopar SB guru, its just like i discibed, both ends are the same & except the larger overlaping rubber gasket, i've never seen one like this.

if both ends are the same..it is a 318/340 pan...
360 pan has a smaller rear pan seal.
just like the pic above shows.

the front/rear half moons are the same size on a 318/340 pan and different (from each other) on a 360
live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

Well that explains it, well that just slammed the brakes on the install, had 3 days off to do it too . Now will the pickup be the same for the mid sump oil pans on any of the 3 because i have that?
