so...my GTX is a P6Y9 Ember gold interior car.

I'm looking for the following info:

1. The color match to the dash, it's a funny gold green color, that doesn't match some of the trim, and doesn't match the exterior color (GY9)

2. the color match to the metal trim inside the car. it's all got a bit of surface rust to it, and there's really no way to get a good match.

3. the plastic parts: Were they coated from the factory? I'm cleaning them, and it seems that there was a paint on them that is just coming off in little tiny grains. It's a huge mess...

I've got a couple of pictures of gold interiors, but no real leads on interior trim paint.

1. I don't have the chrysler paint code, but it's one of these two colors (from old Dupont refinish guide)
Lt Gold Metallic 9837L
Med. Gold Metallic 9846LH
2. See above
3. Some color plastics were more prone to degrage quickly, flaking away like you described. White interiors tend to do the same thing.

awesome!!

I chatted with the Jamie at Color Correct (was Mopaints) yesterday about what's correct.

we narrowed it down to the steering column and dash matching and being Y6 (medium gold metallic), with a little broadcast sheet detective work.

I think the metal interior trim bits are lighter and are light gold metallic (Y3) as the interior code is P6Y3, plus they're obviously a lighter color.

I've seen pictures of the dash vinyl and paint even being Y9 (tawny gold)

Thanks for the dupont numbers. I'm going to head over to the Dupont shop tonight...
