Starting in November 2009 and going thru March 2010 CRT will offer a hands on seminar where you will learn how to rebuild the 727 torque flight. Class will be held at Cope Racing Transmissions in Lowell Indiana on Saturdays. I do have teaching experience as I taught auto & manual trans and differential class at a local collage. This will be 100% hand on class, You will dissemble a 727, I will go over the workings of the trans, give building techneack, go over high performance tips. Spend time on valve bodies, then have you reassemble the transmission. The class will be small only 4-6 students per class, 2 in each group. You must pre register by phone. The seminar will cost $200.00 each, you will get a 10% discount off any parts ( complete transmission excluded ) bought the day of the seminar. Seminar will start at 10:00 am and go to 4:00 pm Call John Cope at 219-374-0100 to sign up or if you have any question.

Hey can we bring our own transmissions? This way, we can buy your kits/parts, assemble our personal transmissions, and do some home testing

will 1 seminar class be enough time to get a novice to be able to do one by himself after this seminar?
would we be able to disassemble and reassemble a few times in order to get the feel of it comfortably and confidently.
i think id be down for this, learning from a professional.
wheres the nearest airport?

Many helicopters run 727s with manual valve bodies and ulimate sprags.

Yes they do.

How about taping the seminar and selling it as an educational video? It would be fun to attend the seminar, but I can't do it with my work schedule.
At least it is less expensive than the AETC conference.

no. How else is he going to build up his inventory of fresh, ready to go 727s?

this is genius! instead of him paying employees to work, he's tricked you all into paying him to work FOR him!

(edit: this was a joke. I apologize that it was not received as such)

Are you kidding me ? I am not trying to trick any one. You think I would try to sell units build by students ?

I thought those comments were pretty low too. Seems some people like to make comments to start controversy.

I am not changing it, I have been supporting Moparts for 5 years now and this is how a MOD treats sponcers.

It's an awsome idea. I'm not sure I can make it up there for this but I'm going to try. I may not be able to totally rebuild a trans or become an expert from this training but it would help me if there are small issues I could fix quickly!! I would still leave something like a full build to the experts D-A-M-N he's willing to teach you his craft that may save you some $$$$ and cost him some $$$$ and you complain
