It's time to rejuvenate the old 360, The bottom end is 6 years old. I will say that the $384.00 (engine kit) cast piston, stock rods & crank have been good ones. I still want to run above 11.50 so I can stay in class. Give me your Ideas.

I don't want to run as fast as "Lil Wedge" does.

Thanks / Rick

OBTW, I'll be on a fixed income after Friday the 13th of Nov.

Shoot, my car hasn't even run 11.50's lately, I got some good deals when we did Laura Lawson's 360, just shopping the internet, Campbell Enterprises , Mad Dog racing and Muscle Motors are a few I remember. For Laura's Challenger,I think we got CAT h-beam rods for about $320.00 but I-beams would work just fine. I got Probe 10.5-1 forged Pistons for about 400.00 but those prices are a couple years ago If you need it cheaper, some KB pistons and stock rods reconditioned with good bolts will work ok, I would spend the money and get it internally balanced, will make it live much longer. Most importantly, a great machinist makes it live and FLY!!!

KB makes a nice forged piston, though the Pro Tru's from Wiseco are nice too, and they come with rings. I like the Scat I beam rods. 4340 with a capscrew and fairly light.
Do you have to keep it a 360? For an extra 600 or so you could have a forged 4" crank and that makes for a surprising increase in power down low.

I want to keep it a 360, I don't need a stroker for the class I run in. Shift points with cam are 5500, trap at 61-6200 w/ 4.56.

Thanks for the idea's.

stock rods redone with good bolts if they haven't been already, KB107's, stock crank, and a new, good balancer should be all you need for that HP and RPM level.....maybe have it internally balanced, but I wouldn't bother for the RPM's you're turning..

We did a .030 over kb 107 on stock rods with arp bolts several years ago, external ball was good to 6500 with stock 3.58 crank all day long, we even sprayed 125 shot on top for over 500 passes, just watch top ring gap if ya spray

All that is in mine is KB107's, stock rods from at least 3 engines honed unbushed for full floating, LD340, Chuck Nuytenn 750, Hughes heads & cam. Never even seen a balance. Consistant 11.40's See Sig.
