Vacuum Pump install without a motorplate? #508383

has anyone ever ran and installed a vacuum pump without a motorplate?
does anyone make a bracket to mount to the head, iwant to install one on my 65 plymouth. i dont run a motorplate,just motormounts?

Just make a plate that sits between the block and water pump off to the one side and mount it on there. Actually its easy.

ARC should be able to fix you right up. lots of guys do it without a motor plate.

No thats all i have, and the car is in a far away land. All we did was make a quick template out of cardboard to fit the pump. There is bolt through the bracket that you cant see that the plate pivots on, then just picked up the other bolt hole on the head. Then just kind of cut it on the band saw. Had to put it on a bridgeport to cut the radius so you could use the plate as a tensioner.

i'm liking that alot. is the bracket you made, the red billet aluminum piece?
i understand now what you did,looks great.
