Tuned out to be a carb spacer with 2 or 4 little propellers that would supercharge any engine, back in the day. Huge power gains. What else??

I think they used to have ads for an "electric" supercharger, which turned out to be the electric ventillation fans for duct work claiming it would boost horsepower..

Another was the Turbonique system from the 60's that used a small solid fuel rocket motor to power the ring and pinion. Never saw one run, maybe someone else has.
