Went to my last race this year, had a great (for me)finish.
It was a no points program, just 2 trophy & 2 money & gambler classes, and the Racer Appreciation race for members attending 7 of 9 points races. I race trophy, so it was a $200 to win $100 runner up. Each trophy class (13.00 & up & 12.99 and quicker)raced to 1, then the 2 trophy classes classes raced for the money. for my trophy class, 12 racers qualified, but only 8 showed for the race. Out of 8 showing, only 5 made 1st round because of breakage. I was lowest point person (number 8) of the 5 racers, I beat #7 racer 1st round. get a bye in rnd. 2 as #6 & #4 racers run, leaving me with #4 racer for my chance to be in the money final. my 12.614 on a 12.57 beat his 12.292 on 12.31 dial.
Yeah me!

Now I have to race the other trophy class winner (they only needed 1 race to determine that winner) the winner in that class was the wife of #6 racer in my class. for the money,my 12.57 dial to opponents 16.49 dial. must wait... my .056 R/T vs .145 R/T... well my 1st pay check from a free race.

And to make this even longer lets back up to 3rd time trial for the regular trophy race. we have a run for the money on 3rd time trial $5 entry in trophy class. Pot is split for best reaction & closest to dial. I put on a 12.57 & run .004 reaction & 12.570 I got the run on the dial half but lost the reaction time to a .003. Still $42.00
I took that 12.57 dail to 1st round of trophy lost at the light .516, but went 12.579
Consolation race (money & trophy 1st & 2nd Rnd losers)
kept the 12.57 on and go 3 rnds. before losing to a .007 R/T
but running 12.571. just about anything better than my .138 would have got that one. So I just left the 12.57 and it got me through the next 4 rounds of the Racers Appreciation race.

Sorry for long post, but it was a long day Saturday.

Seat time is right, it only took 12+ race days since April.
I hope it doesnt take that long to go rounds next year.
Heading for Florida in November, Turkey Rod Run, no car though, just relaxation.

Yeah I won it.
Had some luck and cut some good lights.
I winterized my car yesterday but may drain
the antifreeze if the weather holds.
See ya in the spring.
