I did a search and came up empty.

I have the bungs in the collectors and am ready to take tuning to the next level.

What's the best way to go?

What all is available?

What are your experiences?

Any members sell what I need?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks for your responses.

I use a LM-1 meter... I have just the single wide band
sensor but they also make a double(but I think they have
trouble with that one)

I have an Autometer wideband sensor mounted under the dash. It has a memory function and u use a switch on the linkage to store the results on a WOT pass. It also can be set to read continuously. The LM1 was kinda cumbersome to read at the strip. If you want to read both exhaust u would need two auto gages.

Correct me if I am wrong but I have heard the readings are not very accurate due to wind, bung placement, ect. What are your thoughts?

On my 2000, I have a DynoJet Wideband Commander II. It has a handheld LED Display with the functionality to record and output to Excel. Works like a champ!

One tip, if you don't have an exhaust system behind your headers, the oxygen sensor in the collector will get backflow outside air at idle and low throttle positions making tuning idle and driving in the pits useless. A collector extension will take care of that, somewhere around 14" or so.

yup, and leaky collect extensions will make for a very shakey idle idle reading. Mine would vary up and down between 13.3 and 19 at idle wicked bad but once i got a real tight exhaust system, it was much smoother without any of the wild fluctuations

I found mine at part throttle would read substantially leaner with the header cutouts open than closed, and I had the cutouts located 1.5' after the o2 sensor which was at the collector. So I am wondering if that's due to outside contamination or if my exhaust is really that bad!

Where is the best place to put the bung in a full (except tailpipes) system?

I plan to get a LM-1 this winter.....

Where is the best place to put the o2 sensor when all you have are upright headers?

I use the fast system(dual sensor) with the new upgraded hardware to allow it to data log the run and then reread it. race gas kills even heated 02 sensors in a few months

I'm running the FJO racing product sensors, dual band, data logging, (analog/digital) gauge...

www.fjoracing.com

I have my sensors located in the collector.

I've heard the the NTK sensor will last a little longer than the Bosch when running leaded "racing" fuel.

The attached plot is when the unit was first installed. I'm rich at WOT, and had a O2 sensor that was "lazy" and has now been replaced.

It was interesting to see how lean it spikes when first stepped on, need to richen up the shooter or change the pump setting (carter carb).
