I don't think Dan Dye has ever run in the 6's.

This one should be way faster than 7 seconds.

Looks more like Pro Mod or Pro Street than Outlaw.

If the real 71 Cuda didnt go 6's then the Chevelle he had afterwards may have.

Dan's 10.5 Cuda never went near the 6 sec zone, not sure it made many 7 sec passes. Just never got a handle on the power. Now he did make a few passes in a pro-mod Cuda and also a Chevelle, that likely ran in the 6s. That Camaro that was in the Precision booth at PRI, is the fastest Pro-Mod on the planet. Been 250+ mph, that is Brad Personetts car.

Is that the one on nitrous and running thru mufflers? Saw a red late 60's Camaro running in the Pro Mod class at the Vegas NHRA meet this year that was beating the blown cars by 2 tenths.

The first time I laid eyes on Dan's 10.5 Cuda was at Rockingham and he entered top sportsman. His first pass was in the very high 7's. It went down hill from there. I think one time in KOS he posted again a very high 7second pass.

My understanding that car was sold and put back original it was an extemely rare car.

Those 1471 Superman blowers are bad to the bone. A friend has a similar one that is supposed to be a 1471 that actually is just shy of a 1671. Dan's was supposed to be a 1071. There was a lot of debate about that from guys who knew blowers. It never mattered to me what kind of blower the guy who was in my rear view mirror had on his car LOL.

Dan put a lot of his own money and time, much appreciated, into KOS in 2005. That was the last year of KOS.
