from the info I've been told, I dont think anyone needs to worry about a template. its all a non issue, just like some other issues that have been brought up by the whiners lately. the added front wheel tubs are the only issue they had, and that is the only issue I think will be addressed.
so jeff, when you gonna unleash that 60 ft monster?

Hey Warfish, Are you planning on coming out to the Mopars at the Strip in Vegas this year? If so, maybe you and I can line em up for a little extra cash? You seem to be the top dog, so I figured I would like to line up with you. My car is also a 68 Barracuda, Full bodied 25.5, 3000+ lbs., on a little itty bitty 10.5 x 29.5 x 15 tire, with no power adders. What do you say? I am ready for anything, free race, low dollar, high dollar? Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Jesse! No, the car is painted Viper Silver. (I guess it falls into the "Spit Shine" category now)

I plan to go, but you never know. will you be running in the shootout? I've never heard of you. I guess if you run in that maybe we can match up with the same rules, or maybe I can stuff 800 inches in my car and go challange greg anderson to a match race. later cw

Nobody has ever heard of me. I'm just another loser with a car that would love to race you. My car has a 500" B-1 motor, ladder bar, M/T 10.5 X 29.5 slicks, etc., etc. (Shouldn't scare a "Big Dog" like yourself) I spoke to Chris Blair (Vegas boss) about doing a "Wedge vs. Hemi" type of race, and was given the green light. I figure since you are the top dog, you are the one that I will need to go after. It is really no big deal, you in your Hemi that everybody knows about, against me in my wedge powered Cuda, that nobody knows about? Sound like fun? I will be happy to meet any rules that you want to set forth. Trust me, if they allowed me to run in the Shootout, I would pay double the entry fee just to get in. This is no B.S., I am seriously asking you if you are interested in doing something like this. Let me know so that I can make the proper arrangements with the track.

No, not making it out for that test. We did, however, rent Vegas for early February.

Hey B1 how fast will that thing of yours run? I'm not being a smart [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean] just curious. It will probably be hard to strike up a match race with a SS/AH guy unless you got some outside money and both cars get paid regardless of who wins. Oh and don't use the little tire as a tool to try to sucker someone in. I've been near pro stock e.t's on a 10.5" tire and most SS/AH guys know the performance potential doesn't rely on the tire size. Good luck in getting something lined up...

I will be happy to answer your question(s), but, I want to make it very clear that I am not coming on here, beating on my chest, saying that I will whip everyone. I will let my car do the talking on the track. I am also not looking to get into a pi$$ing contest, I don't have time for it. As far as paying a SS/AH guy to race me? Huh? If it takes money for someone to line em up, so be it. As far as the tire on my car is concerned.....That is what I have, I am not trying to "Sucker" anyone. Last time I checked, the SS/AH cars had four links and a much bigger slick than what I am using. Just stating the facts, plain and simple. Heck, I will throw a set of ET Streets on it, if it will make people feel better. To answer your question about how fast my car will be? I wouldn't be hitting up some of the fastest Super Stock Racers in the country if I didn't think I could hang. I just want to have some fun with them.

B1 you took everything i wrote WAY out of context but i am noticing that is normal on this board. I was just curious what your car runs and letting you know that if you had an outside source to pay both cars for the match race then it would be more of a reality to get it done. My comments about the tire size came from you making notes of it on a few different occasions and seemingly using it as bait for someone to wanna run you. Yes i know we have bigger tires and 4 links on the SS/AH cars, i should know i work on 3 of them and drive one. And i'm not beating my chest or getting into a pissing match either i was actually curious to see it get lined up and thought i was helping you but as usual i wasted my time on this board.

I don't see what the point is of this match race. A legal SS/AH has restrictions such as weight, cubic inch, carbs, etc. Why would someone with a legal car want to race a car a car that is built with zero constraints. You can run any cylinder head, carb, weight, cubes etc. If the B1 cuda goes faster it really proves nothing.
In God we trust, all others pay cash.

You're right hemi dart it would prove nothing either way but i like a good match race and when theres a little good natured smack talk it makes it fun. But if i were gonna run B1 in a match race with one of the SS/AH cars i work on and drive i promise it wouldn't have a legal motor, carbs, or weight...lol.

I actually agree with you 100% about this board. I think you mis-understood what I was saying about not wanting to get into a "Pee-Pee" contest. That was not aimed at you in any way, I just know how things get stupid real quick on this board. Please take no offense as none was meant in any way. Yes, I do agree with the fact that my car does have differences when comparing it to the SS/AH cars, but, I feel that they would put on a good show. I truly want to have a Hemi vs. Wedge race, and with the ET's and MPH that some of the faster SS/AH cars run, I feel that it would be a fair race, considering my car will run right with them. Please understand that my intention was to have fun, first and foremost. To be perfectly honest, I had reservations about posting any of this on this board, and having it become some sort of circus. If this is a money issue, I will be happy to put up my fair share and than some. I just thought that the idea would be cool, nothing more, nothing less. (Trust me, I am really one of the good guys)

HemiDart, I agree with you to a point. My car may not be a legal SS/AH car, but, it was built to meet the rules in the class that I will be running it in. I must meet several constraints. There are weight penalties, cubic inch penalties, etc., etc.
This is kind of Apples to Oranges, but, I still think it would be cool to have a Wedge vs. Hemi Match Race. This is all in good fun.
