I don't know any production numbers on those, but I have a hard time believeing a car like that has any rare value. I'm not dissing the car, I just can't see them being desireable in a resto way etc.. Still may be a neat driver

A friend of mine collects 77-79 LeBarons. He has a 77 Medallion with a 408, a 78 Medallion with an EFI 360 Magnum swapped in, and a 79 wagon, factory 360 car. He has some others, but I havent seen them in a while

I'd kill for a decent one. I'd stuff a 440 in that thing so fast...
Several months ago on eBay, there was a 1 of 1 (just guessing here) four speed. Too rusty, though.

Don't tell anyone but these cars, along with their R body brethren [newport, st regis] are 73 & up B bodies underneath...
Ma mopar made some neat stuff in 78-79 but only a real mopar aficionado can appreciate it.

R bodies are like b bodies yes, but a 79 LeBaron is a M body, which has the transverse T-bars etc.
Btw Tom, I love your Newport, I saved a pic you posted of it on Watkins Glen I think? A couple of years ago. Sweet car.
