I need some info if you SS guys can help me out. What compression are the SS motors making in 04-05-06. I have a SS motor just had it freshend up and installed all new pistons and i think the compression is off.
Rob
the dome is 105, the chamber is 168, whatever it comes out to. I think it is 13 something. we work on cc specs, and try to max it out. I think you had the booker motor didnt you? probably had a small dome as is usually the case with brand "B" motors.
I cant believe the normal tech expert didnt jump on that one, hope that helps. cw
Thanks CW yes it is a Booker motor.. Built and raced in 2005 from Barton.... I asked for the paper So I will be taking it to the dyno soon its all done...on the motor with the specs as far as dyno and they are no help whats so ever...I have the specs on the new pistons i think its a 105 or 106 dome... I have to check the paper work. I was wondering is the formula differenet for a Hemi vs a wedge for figuring out the Compression?
Thanks Rob

Alot of them have bumps or little wheel tubs almost in the inner fenders so the tire does not hit it. NHRA was talking about not allowing those for this year, not sure of the definate answer on it, but it could be an issue for alot of these cars.

Is is just me or are we seeing a trend with these cars sitting much lower? Both the front and the rear of these cars are much lower that I have ever seen. Maybe I'm just
. I've noticed that for some time but they appear they have gone even lower. Go back to pg 2 and check out Depillo's car (beautiful car). And I noticed Joe Faherty's new car at the Finals this year. How low can you go? Amazing they can get a Hemi with intake and carbs between the hood and K member on an A body, Ain't they COOL.

The added humps in the fenderwells, are NOT legal in Super Stock. NHRA made a announcment late in the year, against this.

Last I heard was that they need to be put back to stock. I heard that NHRA was going to make a template for checking.????????????????
