i need it to look like new aluminum again... anyone know how they do it? i know acid will make it turn dark gray so thats not it... any ideas? carb cleaner dip tank? lmk dan

dipping has made alum carb parts look like new so that would be what I would try.

If you are going to dis-assemble it, glass beading it will get you the result you want. You will want to experiment with the air pressure to get the finish you want. I sometimes wire wheel them after glass beading them to get the finish I want. When satisfied with the finish, you can either oil it for short term protection or shoot it with satin clear for longer lasting protection.
