i need to find out what wires are for what on the wiper switch. there are 6 terminals on the wiper switch. according to the diagram the colors are BRN-TR, PINK, RED, DKGRN, BRN, and DKBLU. now, on the wiper motor there are terminals (according to the diagram) that are BRN, RED, DKGRN, DKBLU, and 2 terminals for BRN-TR.

i'm pretty sure i just need to match colors between the switch and motor, but is the PINK terminal on the switch "wiper power"? also, where/which terminal would be for the windshield washer pump? possibly the PINK, but then what would be "wiper power" in the new universal GM-type harness?

thanks

okay, after further digging, i've found this:

from Wiper Switch.....
Brn-Tr to Brn on wiper motor
Pink to fuse box
Redto Red on wiper motor
Dk Grn to Dk Grn on wiper motor
Brn to washer pump plus ground wire
Dk Blu to Dk Blu on wiper motor

so, what's the deal with there being a Brn-Tr wire on wiper motor that goes from one terminal to the next as a jumper, yet no wire goes to it from the switch?

That diagram does not show the resistor on the motor, You need to get a factory diagram that shows the wiring for that resistor which 1 of the terminals is grounded.

Landon1 - go read the thread below and check out the linked wiring diagrams. It may answer some of your questions.

thanks! i think i got what i needed - i should be able to trace the colors of my factory harness to see which color went where, so that should help out.

now what's the deal with the resistor? what wires would run in/out of it? i do remember the ballast resistor looking piece on the top of the motor, but don't recall how it was connected.
