I'd go to whoever you bought the kit from and ask them for instructions. When I sold kits they came with a CD full of tips, photos, and step by step directions. To a accomplish a proper conversion you'll need more than a few simple measurements, and you'll need them from the manufacturer of your particular kit because they varied from vendor to vendor.

Kick that conversion kit down the road to the next guy, pony up and buy a steel Shaker hood from AMD and call it a night.....IMHO

in the long run you'll find it cheaper and better to get the right hood. Sell your flat hood and that kit and buy the aftermarket hood. You'll be much happier in the end.

There is nothing wrong with a converted hood if done properly (and to those touting AMD hoods as the "end all" sorry guys, you are being biased, they are far from perfect compared to OEM's).

As far as dimensions, you need to read my first post, you need ALLOT more than measurements trust me!

I'm with you Scott. Fortunately, we are close to AMD and can pick and choose our parts.

When we did a Hemi Challeneger Convert Clone for a customer, we looked at about a dozen shaker hoods before we found one that was good enough to use on a high dollar job.
