I've never been a Charger fan mainly because I've never seen one that looks good with a scoop but I've gotta admit this blue one and the green one I've seen pics of here on his site look fantastic with 1970 Roadrunner cowl hoods...

only "scoop" that looks good on a Charger (68-70) is a cowl. And for those of us w/ clearance issues it's the only way to go.

..... the 70 Road Runner did not have a Cowl induction hood. It was a power bulge hood that ended at the back of the hood. It did not go over the cowlingor to the windshield. PLUS most of them had a scoop on the power bulge that opened up. sorry for the rant! Pet peave of mine. NO MOPAR ever came with a cowl induction hood.

Obviously, it wasn't cowl induction, but on the non-Air Grabber hood cars it's a cowl induction knock off....just like Mopar copied the back window for the '68-'70 Charger off of the '66-'67 GTO-Chevelle-Skylark-442.... Ouch! I bet that stings!! LOL

What's wrong with putting a "Power Bulge" hood on a Mopar, raising it a couple inches and running it back towards the windshield??

On this car, the hood doesn't run back to the windshield...in fact, it stops right about where the "Power Bulge" hood does....

If you can't handle the truth, you're living a lie.......

Awesome ride. Beautiful work. That being said, don't think the fuel system ( lines and regulator )location passes NHRA rules?

Does anyone have any updates on this car? What has it run? This thread is 4 years old, has to be some more info out there in this ride.

Current update. The car just came back from the shop where a parachute mount was added along with a carbon fiber wing and hood. The car was then taken to his friend's shop further south getting more cage work done for quicker times. Then it will move on to add the plumbing for the turbo mods to fit the Hemi. Should be completed late summer.

Now why would you go and say that, its his car, if he likes it, great, do you really need to share your opinion? If we're being honest, I think that car looks 100 times better than your car and its cowl. And I like cowls, I just dont like your car.

What? Fit the Hemi? This car had a kick-azz 498" wedge running high 7's, last I read. Some people are never content...

Hey Yuck,

FYI , I had to add the height due to the intake height..I didn't really want to, but I wanted to stay true to Mopar scoop designs. I never said I didn't like the cowl on the Blue 69 here on this post...It looks awesome.

Advice: before criticizing someone else, look at your own car

Update on the car is carbon hood wing and a big hemi twin 94 mm turbos . It currently at Andy McCoy shop getting a 25.3 chassis and a few other things. Goal is to dip it into the six sec zone. 3500lbs was the old weight and it has run 7.90

I got it...no harm done. After all, these are all classic Mopars that we are lucky to own and drive.

There's an update directly from Bo.
