imo Best bet for performance and stock look is a set of CNC ported Stealth's... Is there a paticular reason or class rules that only allows cast iron heads..
Hey just a thought, doesnt Muscle motors offer a cnc port program for the stock head castings? If this be true a set of stage V heads might be meaty enough not to crack out on you... Just some idea's.
Thanks for the info Bob.
I'm looking to stay away from aluminum for sneaky reasons.
I have no class ...its for a street car I'm contemplating doing.
In the early 90s we had a 499ci, with a pair of 906s that my brother worked. Mild roller, with an M1 intake and a 9375. At 3400# it ran a string of 10 ohs the only time we took it to the track and was killer on the street, with only SS springs and footbraking a run-o-the-mill 727.
Drove it everywhere and had a ball with it. I'm looking to pick up a clean E or B body and do a similar deal.
Its tons of fun breaking Chevy and Ford b---s with stock looking stuff. I know, without question we could stick a 499 pumpgas deal in the 9s with toady's hardware, with plenty of streetability.
I just have no idea which of the stock iron heads have the most potential for something like this. I figure there has to be better stuff than the 906 heads we ran back then.
We've had Indy and HEMI stuff for the last 15 years or so, so I'm a little lost on the factory style heads.

Thanks Andy...
When the project gets closer to reality and its time to buy parts, I'll do just that.

Isn't this just the type of thing the Stealths were designed for.

Exactly! Jeff @ MCH has a cnc program for them as well. A good, sneaky cnc head for a great price.
