Wondering who makes the Year One supplied HP 440/383 HP manifolds. Has anyone bought them and are they a good fit? Also what is the date on the manifold.... Thanks, Mike

They are actually nice looking and fitting manifolds, better than pitted, cracked, or ready to crack 40 year old junk,.....there's a device called a D-R-E-M-E-L, used with assorted stones and disks, that can easily remove the YO insignia,.......what'ya think some of the F.A.S.T guys are running?  , plus having them extrude honed as well

That's because 68-69 , which these are repops of , did not have the heat stove like a 70 , the part numbers are different than 70 as is the heat riser assembly and it's clocking along with the clocking of the exhaust flange .

Whats the big deal. The guys who want the repo's obviously don't care that its not an original part. They're more concerned with the fact that "look" correct...that and they are new and won't need bead blasting, repair and aren't going to crack upon the first heat cycle they have seen in 40 years. And yes, a grinder can handily remove the year one logo if you want a new casting without their free advertisement.
If numbers and originality are your thing, there are plenty of unwanted logs out there to refurbish, for about the same cost as new ones.

I have a set (not on the car) I know the coating doesn't hold up at all so I would just ground off the YO and recoat them. they look great and I will use them when the need arises?
