I had an absolute blast at Norwalk, but had to leave at noon on Saturday due to health reasons. On Friday my left elbow started to swell up and by Sat noon a fever set in. It was a nasty 3 1/2 hour drive home, and in fact had to pull over a few times and sleep for 2 hours.

Still feverish Monday afternoon, and back to the doctor in a few minutes.

Some highlights for me from the weekend include:

- even at Norwalk 5 year old tires don't work too good on my car (most of the time)

- Got to meet Bob George - - he is a class act!

- I seriously need to work on my Ten O runs.........

- Enjoyed pitting next to Mike Ware and his buddies (Muscle Motors)

- Got to meet several other Moparts members

- and I wasted a 0.008 light against a 0.035 pedaling with a 9.664 on a 9.67 dial in the second round of Friday's gamblers race. Would have been my fastest run ever by a smidget..........

Wow, bummer. I hope you get to feeling better. What's wrong with your elbow? Glad you made it home safe.

Hope you and your arm are doing better than you were on Saturday. Let me know when you get the 10.5's on that thing!

Well I was threatened with a hospital stay yesterday evening, but so far my stubborness has won out. They gave me new medicine and said if it doesn't start getting better in a day or so then to the hospital.

I think the new medicine might be working, and first time since Sat afternoon I don't have a fever for more than an hour.

It all started with a small cut on my elbow I did not know I had. By the time my wife noticed it, it was fully infected. I addressed the infection and by last Thursday it was basically healed - - or so I thought. On Friday my elbow started swelling and hurting.

They say this is pretty serious stuff........

It actually started from a cut on my elbow I got while parting out a 67 Coronet. Didn't see the cut, and by the time my wife noticed it, it was infected. I took good care of it from that point on, and by Thursday of last week the scab was almost gone and no signs of infection. On Friday the infection started to take hold.

I have a Docs appointment in an hour, and I hope he tells me no hospital stay. My fever finally broke yesterday, and the infection appears to have stopped spreading. Got my fingers crossed.
