SALEM1912 super stock Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 862 Southeast Pa.	It is a interference engine. I have got lucky and replaced the broken belt without valve damage.

Anonymous Unregistered A	Well it's a non interference motor in the sense that it won't bend the valves hitting pistons but the valves can actually bend by hitting each other by the cams spinning independently of each other. From page 9-153: The engine is free-wheeling; meaning it has provisions for piston-to-valve clearance. However valve-to-valve interference can occur, if camshafts are rotated independently.
