Looking to put a Lenco in my project 69 super bee with my 472 hemi infront of it. I was looking for a car to run in the 10's and drive on the street I went to Lencos website and found this http://www.lencoracing.com/ST1200MasterPage.html has anybody here run a lenco on the street? I know they are some coin so I don't want to wreck it driving it around town either. What are your thoughts? Thanks ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)

Do you think I should go auto 727 with a transbrake? I talked with a guy who was running one of these in his chevelle he said he paid about $5k for it. If I did a auto set up with a brake on it I was getting qoutes $3k-$4k for a done trany. I like the stick shift factor and pretty much no one around here has them in there cars.

The ST1200 is indeed the street trans version of a CS1. And as bullet proof as they are, I have seen a small block Rustang take one out. It was out of the car and sitting in the shop the one day I stopped in. Its big, heavy, a bit noisy according to the owner, and very expensive. Does it look cool, and would I put one in my Cuda? YES!
For a 10s ride, the 727 will more than handle the job and its way lighter. Call Cope Racing Trans and get a quote and shoot the breeze. I think for around $2k ish, you could end up in one of those pretty easy. As for the Lenco, I am still drooling over their Lenco drive models...

the Lenco is more suited for Pro Mods type applications IMO I would look hard at a Jerico http://www.jericoperformance.com/
