The shocker doesn't give you much credit for being able to shift, i'd say you should be able to crack the 11's. Good luck rowin those gears
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

I meant no disrespect ,its just that for every guy you see driving a stick car right at the strip nowdays ,you will see 10 that dont.I ran my old stick shift gasser a few years back at a Nostalgia event a few years ago .There were proly a 200 cars racing and half were 4spds like mine was.Myself and one other guy were powershifting ,and that was it.It was sad.I stick it on the floor when i launch a standard car and dont let off till its over.I constantly broke rearends ,ujoints ,etc ,but had a blast in the process.Maybe the guy can shift ,his ET will confirm it if he does ...

Well Im not disapointed as its the 1st time since I built the car I have gone down the 1340...
My best out of 3 passes, very packed Test and Tune, Was
13.8 60ft time, BAD!!! 2.25
102.97 MPH
Ill try to post the time slips, but they are very hard to read.
I couldnt hook that thing for sh*t!! I Dropped air to 10 PSI, Still spunn like mad..
My 1st and worst pass was
14.48 2.44 60 ft, 101.63 mph
Im proud of myself for shifting well, didnt miss any, and the car realy drove well.
The tires I thought were what was holding me back.
I know I need to learn the launch, but its been a long time. I think with slicks, and If I take the rear clamp off the SS springs it will hook better.

Now I know why your times were a little slower , you were running 1340 instead of 1320

Are these ET Street Drag radials? I keep mine at 17-19 PSI and they hook best there.
Also with SS spings on an A body, you may need longer shocks in the back. We switched to Dodge truck shocks and that alone dropped my sixty foot a tenth.

Well I didnt get much time to to make more than 3 passes, so I dont hava lot of info, but I am running longer shocks with the springs I think they are Summit brand 90/10s up front, and thematching rear shocks for the car/springs etc. They are made by qa1 I was tolk. I started at 32 psi cause I just wanted to know what it would do in total street trim, Then I ran 17 psi the 2nd pass (which was the fastest) but still a 2.25 60ft, then on the hardest hooking run I dropped to 10 psi. My 1/8 mile was 1st, a 9.5, 2nd 9.0, and 3rd 9.2... I have the fuel PSI at 6.5 with my crappy summit guage, and its a new holley fuel pump. Engine Ran great, really great accually. It never nosed over, farted, or even bogged when it did hook in 2nd gear. Im sure I just have a low MPH due to wicked tire spinn. MoparJoe, Im sure my mph will come inn. I have a 408 in the works, and the machining is almost done!!!

Whats the 1/8 E.T. and MPH and what fuel pump are you running- seems to be 10-12mph off up top, should be good for at least 112mph as is.
My car went 12.92 113mph with old school L-60-14 tires. Engine was a 360 with a 284/484 cam, ported iron 70 340 heads,victor 340 intake, 800 holley, 1 3/4 headers with c/r 9 to 1 and the timing set at 36 deg total. The car 67 formula S 4.10 gears with a 833 four speed

I really wish I would have had more run time. We are 2 hrs from the track, and I still have to make a living. The 408 isnt cheap.
I know the power was there, I just have crazy traction issues. Im not making any more runs this year, or with this engine, I have a base line, and have the new bullet going in when the snow flies.
I did have a lot of fun, and there is nothing like a mopar in the burn out box posi walkin to the right...
