Would like to hear where this stamp shows up on OEM cars, if anywhere? I've seen reference to it being more a function of an NOS part vs. assembly line.

If you have survivor examples, please post them up!

I'll get a pic of one on a 69 b body 26" rad, and of a Made in Canada sticker on a 69 b body heater box.

Thanks Logan, and yes I was referring to my Cuda.

I have heard bumper brackets and bottom of shaker, just talked to bob at Glen Ray and he says radiator would only be stamped if it were dealer replacement.

Any others?

Only on NOS/replacements. I have yet to see the stamping on production line installed brackets.

I see red overspray on that bracket, I would guess that was a replacement.
I also think that "made in canada" is mostly for over the counter parts.

100% Original factory car that Steve Been and I documented and disassembled in 2004. The car was never wrecked.
Since we actually saw and documented this vehicle, we were quite certain that the overspray was the result of a sloppy valance repair attempted by the original owner, some 20+ years ago.

I didn't understand the comment about "overspray" being a sign that designates an "over the counter part".

from reading into it and before "more information" was presented..
I could see how "overspray" showing on a part that normally does not have overspray on it would tend to lead someone into thinking that the car at one time had been "repaired"... which would indicate a replacement part might have been used.

My theory is that while most of the "made in canada" stamped parts were used as "over the counter/ service replacement" parts, quite possibly the bin, from the manufacturer, housing the parts(in this case the bumper brackets) may have had a few "stamped" parts to indicate origin for customs when shipped to the USA. These few parts (bumper brackets) would have then ended up on the factory assembly line.

What a coincidence Jim! I just finished your keyring, saw your post and thought I would give you a sneak peek. These are no longer in the prototype stage. We have finally started manufacturing finished items. They are 16 gauge Stainless Steel with a miniature VIN applied on one side. The other side has a stamping of the original, (period correct) colored logo of the manufacturer. Pictured is your keyring along with a sample of a Dodge unit.
Thanks again Jim and I will talk to you soon.

David-That is a sweet looking piece. Can't wait to hang some keys on it!! I didn't forget you on the valve caps either.I ordered up the ones I showed in the catalog last time we talked and they sent me some "over seas" replacements.I had them reorder them directly from the original manufacture.I'll let you know when they show.I also have to talk to you on some glass for mine and a buddies Challenger.Once again great to have you back.We all benefit from your knowledge. Thanks again!! Jim
