just curious what thickness and grade of aluminum you guys use to build dashes out of. going to be pretty bare to replace factory cluster - will have 3.375 mechanical 160 speedo, mechanical oil pressure and water temp gauges, voltmeter, light and wiper switches, a few rocker/toggles and engine start button.

i'm guessing i'll need a sheet 24*48 to have enough excess as long as i don't mess up, but not sure how thick and what grade/strength i would need. i'm waiting on a call back from my friend who's a fabricator/welder to see what he thinks - thought i'd check here as well

thanks again

Is there much weight savings going to a Jegs aluminum dash?

Cool thanks Bill. Thinking about putting one in my 69 Satellite this winter. Like the way yours looks and if it save a little weight too thats a pluss.
