kieron_kohlmann OP member K Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 112 Auburn Hills, Michigan	yes i am running a lakewood scatter shield on the car. do i need to trim the z bar down? it fit pretty tight when i had a bellhousing on it but now i need like 3/4 of an inch or so. the car was an original 4 speed car.

I had the same problem with a Lakewood scattershield on my 70 Charger RT that is an original 4speed car also. I measured and trimmed the Z bar to make it fit. Check and make sure your z bar is fairly level to your bracket and is not misaligned or you will have shifting problems.
