i have been trying to get my brakes to work properly on my new car.. using an aftermarket Strange unit with (Wilwood)disc/disc, no res.valve or port. valve either..i have bleed them over and over again and get some pedal but have to pump at least 1 or 2twice to get a decent pedal..anyone having issues or can shed some light on this??? thanks...

My guess is you didn't bench bleed it and it has trapped air in the bore. You will never be able to get all the air out bleeding through the calipers. The pedal is night and day different after bench bleeding.

find some clear rubber hose that will barely slide onto the threaded portion of the fittings,

I got some spare brake line,,with fittings,,,and cut them,,,bent them,,thread them in,,,to bleed the MC,,,,
fitting's keep it nice and tight,,,no air.

Google "bench bleeding master cylinder" and you will find a boat load of articles with pics that show what Dave and Doc are describing. A you tube video was also listed in the results of a search.

so after i bleed the master cylinder is it ok to empty or does it need to keep the fluid in it during reinstallation??? i think i can bleed it where it is if all i need to do is rereun tubing in each section and pump til the air is gone.. once the air is gone how does it stay gone when i remove the tubing and reattach my brake lines???

No don't drain the master... Put it back on the car with fluid.. U can also bench bleed in the car.. just hook the line up as stated above and use the pedal. The air that gets in there when you remove the lines will be bleed out when you do the reat of the system again..

Billy, it's been a long time ago since I put Wilwoods on my car but I remember something about having to take the rear calipers off and turn them upside down to get them to bleed correctly. Hope I didn't dream that. Anyone else remember anything like that.

If bleeding your MC doesn't do the trick look into the above.

did you keep doing it for atleast 15 minutes? try not to let the piston completely return. If your calipers are above the master, hanging them will help too.

I bled mine by myself with a vacuum pump, no bench bleeding. Just kept it filled and worked my way around it several times. Factory disks up front and wilwoods on the rear.

What is your bore size? Maybe you are not moving enough fluid to increase the pressure to the disk in one pedal stroke.

I hope this works for you. I wanna see that car going down track.
I really, really, really love that car. Absolutely my favorite Mopar, bar none!
