Put down the broomstick.
A RB in an F body is a TIGHT fit. Yes it works, but its real tight. If you're in it for the 'wow' factor thats the way to go. If your in it to make a machine that does something other than straight blasts then the blown SB would be the way to go.
A properly built blown SB should provide mega thrills.

THere was a 440 Volare' in Seattle recently (maybe still is), complete with air conditioning!!!!

I quess it may also be function of how much of a challenge are you looking for????

If you are running the factory head bolt arrangement, the SB will be more susceptible to head gasket failure than the BB. I understand that some of the aftermarket SB blocks and heads have extra head bolts.

that is what I was thanking it will be more than a straight line car. and wondered how the f- body would handle with a rb in it. and I have not built a small block for ever. the 72 road runner was great with the blown 440 but I don't thank a volare would be as nice.

I live at Norwalk during the summer

Kinda spoiled to have it as my home track. Haven't missed a CCE there yet and don't plan on it anytime soon.

Most of my pixs are HERE

No, for "Wow" factor go with a blown Hemi, otherwise SB all the way

I thought about turbos but not use if I want the hassle of making everything.

Put the alterktion front end under one and you can do just about anything.

If one was going to do BB it would have to be stroked.

Going from a stroked small block to a 440 mag in equal cars feels like going from a good 340 to a 318.
