I've been watching Kamansines since 1960. Maybe the first guy to go 200. How cool full pass 4.11 and 80 years old! Prolly never used viagra.

I remember seeing the ChiZler cars in Hot Rod in the 1960s when I was a young, impressionable kid. It's pretty cool to see the Greek still out there. I think his car should be painted gold though. Wasn't he the Golden Greek?

His cars were usually red with real gold leaf lettering, and always shined like a new dime.

I was a MARTIN when he rolled the dragster with all the gold plated parts on it. He jumped out and proceeded to pick up all the broke off gold.

The first time I saw him was in Aug 58 at Houston when Garlits put all the West Coast guys on the trailer. I don't know how long he was racing before that. He's certainly had a long career.

Don Garlits says the Greek was the first.

A picture of the Greek at Minnesota Dragways.

My father who is also "80" says the Greek raced
up here many times. He won a lot also

Another one of the Greek at Minnesota dragways.
One of the first tracks with timing lights.

Greek's 204 was at Alton. It has been disputed because no one else went over 200 for a couple years, not even Greek himself. Did he or didn't he? No one will ever know.
