Posted this already over at the Dry dock, hoping perhaps someone here could be of some assistance as well.

I am looking to get my 72 Fury Custom Suburban 360 2V back on the road. I have called all around and only 1 place has a listing for the accelerator cable for my wagon. I ordered it (Pioneer cable Part number CA 8410) When it arrived it was totally useless because it has a square plastic end that clips into the firewall.

The hole in my firewall is round and has a metal clip that secures it on the other side. I removed a cable from my 72 T&C wagon 440 as it was the same style I needed but it seemed too long.

I contacted that auto parts store again and found another part number (CA 8411) FOR A 71 Fury 360 and am gonna try it.

If that cable doesnt do the trick, does anyone know of a place I can get a cable for this car with the proper end going into the firewall and the proper length for my 360 2V(Holley 2245 carburetor)

Ive almost got this car ready to road test, and this cable is my missing link. HELP!!!!

I just ordered a cable from Napa for a 75 Dodge pick up w/ 360. I was going to make it work in my Dakota. It has the round end that you are talking about. You can also try Rock Auto.

I may try the Accelerator cable from my 73 Dodge D200 400 2bbl. It has the same Holley 2bbl Carburetor as my 72 Fury 360 and has the round end I need at he firewall. Hopefully it wont be too long.

Up to this point im still open to suggestions. If the Cable from my 73 Truck works, ill be sure I let everyone know,so they can make note it for future reference.

You might try a place called Imperial Services. I believe they manufacture their own stuff, so if they don't carry this one, they may be able to make one up for you. They're kind of expensive but their quality is first rate:

Imperial Services

Good luck.

Well in my rush to get the car roadworthy,I forgot 1 very important step on installing the cable I pulled out of my 72 T&C. I forgot to run the cable under the adjuster and take the slack out of it. Took care of that and the gas pedal/carb linkage function in sync like a charm. Ill have it roadworthy by next week. Thanks for the advice and tips everyone
