I've got a 69 Coronet with C16 on the tag for a console, but the car itself is a bucket seat/armrest/column shift car. Its a lynch road car ... 213 is the build date and not C16 ... We're currently restoring the thing. It's never had a console (orig floor, center armrest brackets, etc). Other tag options match and body numbers match everywhere. No buildsheet. I've heard about luggage rack codes on cars that didn't get a luggage rack before, but do other people see stuff like this much?

There was a thread about 2 years ago .....

....... there appears to have been a number of mid-'69 model year Lynch Rd. assembled Coronets that have "C16" on the fender tags instead of "C21". I think someone even posted a picture of a Coronet 500 4-door's tag with the same issue.

Yep, it has come up before, some plants coded things differently, & sometimes even at different parts of the model year. In your case, C16 means C21.

69 LR did not use C21. They used C16 for both the console and the buddy seat.
