Any insurers out there that allow you to race your vehicle and have reasonably priced coverage? I have a mostly street driven vehicle but would like to make the occasional trip down the track each summer. I got a good quote from grundy but they won't allow racing. Thanks.

Parish Heacock (or Heacock Classic?)... whatever they call themselves now is who I have the Challlenger insured with.

EDIT: The coverage specifically excludes incidents on the track, but still provides coverage for the car in normal street use.

I don't know of any insurance company that will cover damage done on a race track ? Tell them it's a show car and not a race car. Most insurance companies will cancel you if they find out your car is on a race track. A word of advice, I would never go down the track with a license plate on the car. There are spotters that will turn you in to the insurance company and they will cancel you.

AO Underwriters DOES insure the car on track, off track in storage whatever. They also are pretty prompt with payment if there is an incident. I know of two people who have had thier cars destroyed you were promptly paid on thier claim. The insurance is from Lloyds of London and AO are the underwriters.

Here is a link to thier site.
