Can anyone here tell me what to expect as far as ride, handeling, and whether installing Drag Shocks will increase the height of the rear of my 1968 B-body???
I have been considering air shocks and know from past experience the ride is really harsh. I was wondering whether the Drag Shocks would be a better compromise. Thanks folks!

Unless the shocks have helper springs or are air shocks, they won't alter the ride height.

Get some performance-oriented "handling" shocks, not drag shocks. Air shocks are not good for handling.

If you need the ride height of the rear raised, best way is to get new leaf springs or get your existing ones rearched.

Handling is OK as long as you never, ever hit a bump in the middle of a turn.

Ride is great as long as you prefer it really, really harsh or you never hit any sharp bumps and don't care.

The moral of the story is, 50/50 drag shocks regardless of brand) are horrible on a street car that has to turn and survive potholes etc.

But bear in mind, I developed that opinion from having a real street car, as in drive it all day long and I'm from the Detroit area where I-75 is comparable to pre-running the Baja 500.

Other parts of the country with glass-like roads you could use them and never have a problem, and would probably think they're great.
