Ive got a stock Edelbrock Performer series 800 CFM carb, I would like to richen it up, I ordered the #1480 kit and would like to know which needles, springs and metering jets to go with, any help would be greatly appreciated.

use a pair of springs w a vac rating 1/2 of what your idle vac is in drive. look up the # on your current rods for the dia of the "cruise" step and the "power" step or use a micrometer & select a rod the next size thinner on whichever one of those areas you want to richen. I'd leave the jets as is for now & see if you can fine tune w the rods 1st. a person really needs a wide band A/F meter to get this spot on otherwise your pretty much guessing other than what your seat of the pants driveability tells you.
