Hello Everyone!
I was wondering if anybody has fallen into this problem and had a successful solution:

I have a 64 Plymouth Sport Fury that I installed a 440 with an Edelbrock RPM Performer intake as well as an Edelbrock 1411 Carb.

Since the intake is a bit taller than stock, I had to purchase Lokar cables throttle and kickdown cables. I mounted them using a Jegs throttle return bracket that sits on top of the carb baseplate mounting with the studs.

The problem is the following:
When I have the pedal to the floor, I noticed the four bbls are not properly opening, I have the cable connected to the same place the stock linkage was prior on my previous engine (361).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I can attach a pic if that would help.

Thanks,
Wes

Are you using the Edelbrock Chrysler Throttle Arm bracket?

how much slack is in the cable? you can remove the slack by crimping another stop at the peddle. if its peddle travel try removing the carpet and pad at the firewall where the rubber peddle stop hits.

Yeah, it is a problem with pedal travel, I even welded an extension on the pedal (which is somewhat of binding problem now). I also just hooked the cable up to the linkage out of the box, I didn't buy the chrysler/ford bracket as you stated above.

You need the Lokar bracket.
