I think that you should go with a 800-950 but with the low comp ratio I fell that you might be over cammed Id go with the 509 or a 528 and get some good gears .

At least 850 cfm type. Try a 850 DP.

You might want to update the 30CC Pump to a 50CC and start with #31 Squirters...

I use a Holley 850 DP on my 446 that has 10.0 comp. It has 906 heads I ported and the MP .557 cam. I use a Dynamic 9.5 converter that drives like a normal car but flashes about 4200 at the track. My 63 is a 99% street car that I drive alot and drive to the track 2 or 3 times a year. I love how well the 850 DP works for me and I only did a few minor mods. I have it jetted at 78's and 86's with 3.5 front power valve. I drilled the front squirter's to 32 and I removed the choke blade. Thats all I did and my 3700 lb 63 with its 906 headed 440 runs mid 11's with a 1.59 sixty. No stumble at all. Ron

Before you start swapping carbs (or other parts), make sure what you have is working / tuned correctly.

I'll stop my tuning rant now because if i get started, I may not get any sleep!
